Position Overview

Healing Partners of the Central Coast is seeking an organized, self‑motivated, and relationship‑oriented interim Development Coordinator to support fundraising, donor engagement, and community outreach efforts. This temporary, work‑from‑home position is ideal for an individual who enjoys building relationships, connecting with community partners, conducting outreach, and supporting a mission‑driven organization. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping HPCC expand its network of Corporate Sponsors, Event Sponsors, and Individual Donors while increasing awareness of the organization’s services and impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build upon and strengthen relationships with HPCC's existing donor and sponsor base.
  • Identify and cultivate prospective Corporate Sponsors, Event Sponsors, and Individual Donors.
  • Conduct outreach through phone, email, and customized informational materials.
  • Coordinate and schedule follow‑up meetings between prospective funding partners and HPCC leadership.
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities, community partnerships, and sponsorship prospects.
  • Maintain and expand databases of donors, sponsors, media contacts, and community stakeholders.
  • Assist with social media management, including creating, scheduling, and posting content on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Track outreach activities and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Support fundraising and community engagement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships with prospective donors and community partners.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, communications, public relations, or nonprofit development preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, social media platforms, and online research tools.
  • Passion for supporting a mission‑driven nonprofit organization.
Why Join HPCC?

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of local cancer patients while gaining valuable experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, and community engagement. You'll work alongside a dedicated team committed to bringing comfort, hope, and healing to individuals and families throughout our community.

This position may be especially appealing to a retiree with business or nonprofit experience, a recent college student or graduate interested in nonprofit development, a marketing or communications professional seeking flexible part‑time work, or anyone looking to use their skills to support a meaningful local cause.
