International Friendships, Inc. is a Christian non profit. Our mission is to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips.

Expected work schedule for the State College Ministry Coordinator:

• Full- or part-time, flexible schedule
• Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific ministry needs
• Annual conferences such as the IFI Staff Retreat

Pay structure for a State College Ministry Coordinator:

• Requires the development of a ministry partner team to provide prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses
• Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners
• Pay range is typically between $27,274 and $84,872 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors

About the area and Responsibilities of a State College Ministry Coordinator:

Penn State University is a very strategic location for international student ministry. It ranks number 19 in the world according to Uni Rank 2021 and is one of the top 10 largest universities in the United States. There are more than 9,000 international students in State College, which ranks it in the top 15 for international student populations in the United States.

This position is part of the State College ministry team and requires the candidate to live near the campus on which they will be serving.

The State College Ministry Coordinator will:

• Campus Ministry
• Coordinate cultural activities and trips
• Participate in an outreach activity such as Bible discussion or friendship partnership
• Establish and maintain church partnerships
• Recruit, match and support volunteers

Qualifications needed from the State College Ministry Coordinator, including Spiritual Characteristics:

• Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
• Faithful in evangelism and hospitality to international students as well as discipling believers to do the same
• Well organized, takes initiative, able to work independently or collaboratively
• Flexible and adaptable
• Proficient with technology necessary to the ministry, including Microsoft Office and Google applications

Education/Experience Preferred for the State College Ministry Coordinator:

• Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in education and/or ministry-related field or demonstrated experience mobilizing, training, and ministering to people
• Cross-cultural ministry experience, preferred
