Position: Island Health Volunteer Engagement Consultant Role
Join Island Health as a Volunteer Engagement Consultant, focusing on driving volunteer programs across Nanaimo and Oceanside. This hybrid position demands expertise in recruitment, training, and volunteer oversight.

In this role, you will report directly to the Manager of Volunteer Engagement, responsible for administering and maintaining volunteer service programs. Tasks include supervision, screening, and evaluation of volunteers to enhance patient/client support services. Regular travel between sites is expected, making a dedicated home office setup necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee comprehensive volunteer recruitment and training

• Provide guidance and evaluation to volunteer staff

• Support program operations on-site and remotely

• Promote volunteer services internally and externally

• Foster effective communication among diverse groups

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Administration or related field

• At least three years of applicable experience

• Proficient administration and supervisory skills

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
