What you’ll do:- Manage and grow a portfolio of major and planned gift donors and prospects through intentional identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.

- Conduct personalized donor visits and virtual meetings to deepen relationships and align donor passions with organizational priorities.
- Develop individualized giving proposals and gift illustrations in collaboration with donors and their professional advisors.
- Design and implement meaningful stewardship strategies including events, recognition, reporting, and personalized communications for our Legacy Society donors (approximately 400 members).

- Monitor lead generation, prospect engagement, and conversion metrics generated by third party efforts.
- Serve as a resource to donors exploring complex gift vehicles including charitable trusts, charitable gift annuities, beneficiary designations, IRA gifts, real estate, closely held stock, and other non‑cash assets.
- Collaborate with financial advisors, attorneys, and estate planners to facilitate donor intent.
- Maintain knowledge of current tax laws and charitable planning strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in planned giving, wealth advising, or estate management.
- Proven success in relationship management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
- Proficiency in donor database systems is a plus (preferably Raiser’s Edge NXT) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Passion for animal welfare and alignment with the Humane Society of Missouri’s mission.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and short‑term insurance
- Long‑term disability (100% employer paid)
- Retirement Savings Plan
