Remote Volunteer Project Coordinator

Pro Bono Net (PBN) is a national leader in using technology to support volunteer efforts by the pro bono legal community to help low-income clients. The online platform and resources developed by PBN expand capacity in underserved areas throughout the country. As the Remote Volunteer Project Coordinator, you will maintain and grow a project that supports volunteers and leverages technology to promote access to justice.

With online resources and communications tools, legal volunteers can connect remotely to rural and underserved communities to provide services. Throughout this project you will have the opportunity to work with legal experts to create outreach and training materials that help the volunteers successfully connect to the remote communities and clients.

This position is a part of a 12-member VISTA cadre at Fordham Law School's Feerick Center for Social Justice. In addition to the camaraderie and network the team brings, you will also have monthly check-ins with the Center's Executive Director, weekly program meetings with senior staff, monthly professional development workshops led by the VISTA Leader, and if you are local, the opportunities to attend NYC networking and training events.

This is an opportunity for someone with creativity, follow through, and initiative who can also work effectively and closely with a team.

The VISTA will build on PBN's strong online presence and our Remote Legal Support project. You will expand the project, which promotes technology to connect pro bono and free legal service providers to low-income rural and underserved communities. Through trainings and materials, you will share successful projects with prospective partners and pro bono lawyers; and recruit new partners and train nonprofits and pro bonos.

You will work to promote expanded remote programs to better integrate volunteers and pro bonos. You will create webinars and new guides to address the technology gap for vulnerable and underserved populations, including people who are older, disabled, homebound, people of color, and people who live in rural communities. You will post remote legal materials, trainings, news and events to support volunteers.

It is a remote (off-site) position, with an option to join our NYC office when it reopens.
