Senior Coordinator, Programs and Engagement

American Transplant Foundation

Denver Metro

Nonprofit, Full-time, Programs/Services, $56,000 - $65,000

As the Senior Coordinator, you are the engine behind our day-to-day mission.

This is a role for a proactive, systems-minded professional who is equally at home managing a CRM database, mentoring interns, and writing a compelling donor story. You will own the execution of our programs, steward our digital presence, and serve as a trusted point of contact for our community – all while helping shape the operational foundation that allows ATF to grow and scale its impact.

This is not a role for someone looking to manage a checklist. It is for someone who sees a gap and fills it, who brings solutions rather than problems, and who finds genuine meaning in the work of saving lives.

The Three Pillars of Responsibility

1. Programmatic Strategy & Execution

  • Coordinate and execute ATF's patient assistance, caregiver support, and community education programs.
  • Serve as a primary contact for patient, caregiver, and partner inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Collect participant stories, outcomes, and program data to support donor reports and impact communications.
  • Manage grant reporting and assist with grant research and proposal development.
  • Support the development and launch of new programs, including initiatives focused on pediatric transplant families and underserved communities.

2. Data & Digital Presence

  • Serve as administrator for the Foundation's CRM, ensuring accurate tracking of donor, patient, and partner data.
  • Manage the organization's Word Press website, email newsletter, and social media platforms.
  • Create graphics and content using Canva to support communications and fundraising campaigns.
  • Support digital fundraising efforts and ensure consistent messaging across online channels.
  • Troubleshoot basic office technology and coordinate with vendors when needed.
  • You'll be supported by a rotating group of interns who assist with content and design, giving you leverage to focus on higher-level priorities.

3. Community Engagement & Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a rotating team of interns using the Foundation's structured training program.
  • Represent the organization at 2–4 community outreach events annually, including health fairs and awareness events.
  • Coordinate volunteer gatherings and appreciation events.
  • Respond to community inquiries and maintain strong relationships with transplant patients, donors, and hospital partners.

Proactive Problem-Solving:
Identify operational challenges and develop independent solutions to strengthen our programs.

Qualifications & Mindset

  • 2–5 years of experience in program management or nonprofit coordination. We value mission-driven experience and a "scrappy" work ethic.
  • Bachelor's degree required. MPH or MHA candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • The "Proactive" Edge:
You are a self-starter who identifies next steps before they are assigned. You don't just "wait for instructions"; you anticipate needs.
  • Coachable & Aligned:
You take direction with ease and pride yourself on being a "team player" who aligns quickly with leadership's vision and feedback.
  • Tech-Forward:
Fast to learn and master CRM platform, Word Press, Constant Contact, and Canva.
  • Positive Resilience:
You bring a constructive, energetic attitude to a high-stakes environment where empathy and professionalism are paramount.
Benefits
  • Salary: $56,000–$65,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Schedule:

4 days in-office (Mon–Thu, 9–5 p.m.) with the opportunity to work from home on Fridays if performance expectations are met.

Benefits:
Medical/dental insurance, retirement plan with employer match, and generous PTO. ATF is in a growth phase. As we expand our pediatric and Hispanic outreach programs, this role will grow with the organization.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Shape new programs from the ground up, not just maintain existing ones.
  • See the direct impact by knowing the names of the families you are helping.
  • Enjoy a modern workspace:
Our downtown Denver office includes a rooftop terrace, an on-site fitness center, secure bike storage, and a kombucha fountain.
