Job Summary
The UW Connects Outreach Program Coordinator provides comprehensive program management, administrative coordination, and operational support for UW Connects' existing outreach programs and for the development of a new statewide outreach strategy designed to unify and scale outreach and engagement across the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule day‑to‑day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers (45%)
- Schedule and secure logistics and resources to support an outreach program (10%)
- Hire, train, manage and engage student staff (20%)
- Identify opportunities for program improvement or new outreach program development (10%)
- Direct the implementation of program policies and procedures (5%)
- Identify, promote, and maintain internal and external partnerships to promote the outreach program (10%)
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) or similar database systems
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively on complex projects, handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a detail‑oriented environment
- Proven ability to be highly organized, systems oriented, self‑directed and work well both independently and collaboratively
- Experience and enjoyment of hiring, managing and engaging student staff
- Experience with Hubspot
- Experience working in non‑profit and/or government settings, including familiarity with UW policies, procedures, and standards (or ability to learn quickly)
- Experience working with high‑level stakeholders
- Experience with Workday or other HR/expense reimbursement systems
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Compensation and BenefitsMinimum annual salary $48,107; expected salary for well‑qualified candidates $52,000. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, health, dental, vision, life insurance, tax‑advantaged savings accounts, and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension fund.
Work Schedule / LocationMonday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑4:30 pm. This is a hybrid position, with the expectation of 3 days per week on‑site and 2 days of remote work per week.
