Position Summary
The Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator – Special Partnerships ensures Job Train’s career tracks meet enrollment targets by identifying potential students, conducting outreach, and supporting registration. They establish partnerships, track recruitment initiatives, and engage in outreach across the Bay Area. Responsibilities include maintaining client records, generating reports, and participating in events. Strong research, communication, organization, and database skills are required.
This position will primarily work onsite with some work from home flexibility.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct ongoing outreach to recruit clients for all Job Train programs and services, focusing on assigned career training program(s). This includes:
- Tracking recruitment initiatives and evaluating effectiveness.
- Planning outreach around course start dates and community partners.
- Building relationships with partner organizations, attending meetings, providing updates, and identifying new partners.
- Canvas and distributing flyers in assigned geographic areas.
- Responding to inquiries and presenting materials to partners.
- Representing Job Train at outreach events, including evenings and weekends, and stakeholder meetings.
- Promoting Job Train programs and services.
- Guide clients through assessment and application processes:
- Assist clients with completion of application and submission of documents.
- Communicate with Community partners about challenges.
- Coordinate with assessment lead if assessment scores are insufficient.
- Ensure smooth transition to Career Development Specialist after registration and assessment.
- Provide updates on enrollments to Community partners.
- Answer additional questions or provide assistance during registration.
- Maintain timely and accurate client and outreach records in Salesforce, including notes on all contacts and required steps. Update partner documentation as needed and generate regular and ad hoc reports to monitor client progress and outreach activity.
- Travel to relevant events or meetings in the Bay Area (up to 30 miles each way).
- Assist with administrative duties, including front‑desk support.
- Partner with staff to improve processes.
- Assist with training of new outreach staff.
Demonstrated experience working as an outreach coordinator (at least three years) and successfully meeting all responsibilities of the role.

- Communication Skills - Ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing, comfortable making presentations and working one‑on‑one with clients.
- Collaboration / Teamwork - Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners, engage with diverse populations, and work independently or as a team.
- Technology – Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office and database technology;
Salesforce experience a plus.

The anticipated hiring range is $31/hour.
