Triangle Ultimate Development & Communications VISTA

Triangle Ultimate organizes youth and adult Ultimate Frisbee leagues, tournaments, camps, and clinics in the Triangle region of North Carolina. Our mission is to collaboratively build a community emphasizing accessibility, relationships, and engagement through learning, playing, and teaching the sport of Ultimate. We are a community of parents, players, and enthusiasts, among other things who share the same passion for ultimate and serving our community.

Triangle Ultimate runs over 90 different programs throughout the year. Over 50% of our 3,000+ participants are youth. We have strong partnerships with local youth‑serving organizations. We focus on building relationships and partnerships with organizations that serve low‑income and underserved youth communities. We are a fast‑growing organization, and we are looking for the right team member to join us to strengthen our fundraising capacity and enhance our communications across our programs.

This position will play a powerful role in messaging our mission and building up the Triangle Ultimate voice across our communication channels. As a Triangle Ultimate Development & Communications VISTA, you will improve individual giving to our organization and enhance communications with our current audience — players and their families. Our organization is run by a dedicated team of six full‑time employees, many part‑time coaches and contractors, as well as hundreds of volunteers.

We love our work! Like our other full‑time staff, this position will be hybrid, with a mix of in‑person at our office, at programs, and working from home. You will have the opportunity to gain skills through professional development, interact with passionate community leaders, and pursue additional certifications and training through our partnerships. Triangle Ultimate also offers free leagues and programs to all of our team members.

• Develop Triangle Ultimate's annual fundraising plan, including individual giving, sponsor ships, and grant support.
• Collaborate with staff to execute our annual community‑driven fundraising event, including planning, promotion, and community engagement.
• Create content for digital platforms, including website updates, social media, newsletters, and blog posts.
• Design and produce marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and reports using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather stories, photos, and impact data for use in communications.
• Support planning and promotion of fundraising campaigns, community events, and donor communications.
