At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick, we believe every child deserves a caring mentor and the opportunity to thrive. We're looking for a relationship-driven, organized, and enthusiastic Site-Based Program Manager to help recruit, match, and support volunteer mentors and youth in our school-based mentoring programs.

Pay/HoursThe job is currently part-time (24 hours) but will increase to full-time (32-40 hours) on January 1, 2027.
What You'll DoAs our Site-Based Program Manager, you'll oversee the full lifecycle of our school- and site-based mentoring matches while ensuring that every child, volunteer, and family has a positive experience.
You'll:
- Recruit, interview, and enroll volunteer mentors, youth, and families.
- Create thoughtful mentor/mentee matches that prioritize child safety and compatibility.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to mentors, families, and school/site partners.
- Develop personalized youth outcome goals and help matches succeed.
- Plan and facilitate engaging group mentoring activities for our after-school and college mentoring programs.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, colleges, businesses, and community organizations.
- Represent BBBS at community events, presentations, and outreach activities.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and program records that meet national Big Brothers Big Sisters standards.
- Conduct reassessments, surveys, and exit interviews to continually strengthen our programs.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure every match receives outstanding support

- Can balance multiple priorities while staying organized and detail-oriented.
- Is comfortable having meaningful conversations with children, parents, volunteers, educators, and community partners.
- Thinks critically, solves problems, and works independently while being a collaborative team member.
- Is passionate about helping young people succeed.
- Bachelor's degree required or three years of relevant experience in youth development, education, social work, or a related field with demonstrated success.
- Experience working with both youth and adults from different socio-economic backgrounds.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interviewing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with database systems (training provided).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Willingness to act as a mandatory reporter.
- Valid Maine driver's license and reliable transportation.

Schedule & Work EnvironmentThis position includes a combination of office work, school visits, and community outreach. Remote work-from-home on Fridays is part of our office culture.
Applicants should be comfortable with:
- Regular travel to schools throughout our service area (mileage reimbursed)
- Occasional after-school, evening, and weekend events (2 hours for approximately 11 Sundays per school year)
- Lifting and carrying materials up to 30 pounds
- 80% Paid Health Insurance at 32 hours
