About Best Friends Animal Society
Best Friends Animal Society is the only national animal welfare organization focused exclusively on ending the killing of dogs and cats in America's shelters. As an authority and leader in the no‑kill movement since 1984, Best Friends runs the nation's largest no‑kill sanctuary for companion animals and leads life‑saving programs in partnership with rescue groups and shelters across the country. Since its founding, the organization has helped reduce the number of animals killed in shelters from 17 million per year to less than 1 million, and it has the knowledge, technical expertise and on‑the‑ground network to end this killing and Save Them All(tm).

- Just 2–5 hours per week
- Flexible weekday or weekend schedule
- Six‑month commitment preferred
- Social media experience is a plus—but enthusiasm for animal welfare is a must
You must live in the U.S. to volunteer with Best Friends.
