Mission and objectives:
Established in 1951, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the leading intergovernmental organization inthe field of migration and is committed to the principle thathumane and orderly migration benefits migrants and society. IOM ispart of the United Nations system, as a related organization. IOMsupports migrants across the world, developing effective responses to the shifting dynamics of migration and, as such, is a key sourceof advice on migration policy and practice.
The organization worksin emergency situations, developing the resilience of all people onthe move, and particularly those in situations of vulnerability, aswell as building capacity within governments to manage all formsand impacts of mobility. The Organization is guided by the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations,including upholding human rights for all. Respect for the rights,dignity and well-being of migrants remains paramount.
Context:
Within this framework, IOM will implement field-level data collection activities under the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) in close coordination with the Presidency of Migration Management(PMM) of the Ministry of Interior. These activities aim to generatereliable, timely, and actionable data to inform evidence-based decision-making and enhance programme effectiveness.
The Field Enumerator will report to IOM and operate under thedirect supervision of IOM''s Senior Project Associate and Field Coordinator, and the day-to-day guidance of the Field Team Leader.
The UN Volunteer will support the implementation of field data collection activities, ensuring accurate and timely data gatheringin line with established methodologies, tools, and ethicalstandards.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative interviews in the fieldwith individuals from both host and migrant communities, in linewith established methodologies
- Ensure strict adherence to ethical standards, including confidentiality, informed consent, and data protectionprinciples
- Maintain regular communication with the Field Team Leader,reporting daily progress and flagging any issues, challenges, or incomplete interviews
- Accurately utilize designated mobile data collection tools and platforms in accordance with project guidelines
- Submit daily updates to the Field Team Leader, includingprogress, challenges encountered, and key observations from thefield
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the directsupervisor

There are no nationality requirements forremote assignments. Successful candidates will need to provide proof of citizenship, residency and/or right to work in theirremote work location. In the case of refugees, candidates need toprovide proof of their protected status in the country. Proof ofaddress will also be required.
