Start Date Lama Dorje Foundation is seeking a Marketing Associate to help bring our vision of Dewachen to life by supporting thoughtful, mission-aligned giving. Sitting within the Marketing Department, this volunteer role helps ensure that fundraising messaging efforts—from monthly donations to event sponsor ships—are well-timed, well-crafted, and deeply connected to our values.

You’ll work closely with our Marketing Director and Foundation leadership to weave giving opportunities into our digital communications, community moments, and retreat calendar. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys storytelling, strategy, and service—and who’s excited to grow with a dynamic spiritual nonprofit.

• Maintain and manage a campaign calendar for fundraising touchpoints
• Coordinate and track giving campaigns across email, social media, retreats, and events
• Draft or review giving-related communications (donor asks, thank-you copy, follow-ups)
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align giving with upcoming retreats and milestones
• Support or co-lead specific initiatives (e.g. Monthly Giving, Sponsor a Cabin, Major Donors) Identify missed opportunities or donor segments that need more care
• Participate in occasional planning meetings with the Director, Finance and Marketing team
• Research or explore grants, sponsor ships, or donor partnerships

• Background in fundraising, copywriting, donor communications, or nonprofit development
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with project tools like Canva, Slack, Google Workspace, , Mailchimp.
• Aligned with the mission and tone of a spiritual nonprofit
