What’s the role?No two days are the same in this role. One day you could be helping organise a community event, the next working with local groups to secure funding, meeting residents to hear their ideas, or creating opportunities for people to get more involved in their neighbourhood.
Key Accountabilities:
- Help plan and deliver community events and activities.
- Build relationships with residents, community groups and local partners.
- Support people to have a voice in shaping local services and projects.
- Help community organisations access funding, training and development opportunities.
- Promote projects and share positive stories from our communities.
- Collect feedback and measure the impact of engagement activities.
- Support people to improve their digital skills and confidence.
- Work with residents to develop ideas that make neighbourhoods better places to live in.
- Be a champion for inclusion, ensuring everyone has opportunities to get involved.
- Friendly and personable approach
- Confident working with different people and communities
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects
- Comfortable using digital tools and Microsoft Office
- Passionate about creating positive community change
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full driving licence and access to a car
- Experience in community work, events, customer service, volunteering, youth work, charities, social action, resident engagement or similar roles would be beneficial,
