Donor Relations Coordinator
MANNA is seeking a full-time staff member who is passionate about fundraising for a mission-driven nonprofit organization to support various efforts of the development department. The Specialist will work closely with MANNA's Senior Philanthropy Manager to execute MANNA's gift processing, donor stewardship, and fundraising appeal strategies. The successful candidate will be a dependable, enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented, strategic multitasker with strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, customer service mindset.
Essential functions include:
- Manage donor data in MANNA's CRM and process gifts, pledges, and other gift and donor records in an accurate, timely, and secure manner.
- Manage donor acknowledgement letter processes for all gifts received.
- Prepare and deliver donor reports, presentations, and related materials as needed.
- Collaborate with the finance team to properly tag inbound funds and reconcile monthly revenue reports.
- Develop, institute, and maintain a client, volunteer, and donor testimonial collection system to support MANNA's communication, fundraising, and marketing efforts.
- Lead individual and mass communication efforts with members of the MANNA F.A.M. monthly giving program.
- Support major gifts operations by tracking engagement efforts and updating gift records in moves management system.
- Research and identify opportunities for advancement from MANNA's donor pool.
- Support content drafting and mailing list management for MANNA's three annual direct mail campaigns (Thanksgiving, Year End, and Spring).
- Support with copywriting and other content creation needed for seasonal giving campaigns, annual giving, and other miscellaneous fundraising appeals.
- Manage and edit giving-related website pages on mannapa.org and bespoke pages made through MANNA's donation platform (Go Fund Me Pro).
- Support the planning and execution of development, volunteer, and other miscellaneous MANNA events.
- Perform administrative duties as needed, including filing, copying, mailing, printing, etc.
Other duties include:
- Commitment to MANNA's mission and values.
- Support Kitchen, Distribution, and Events departments on an as-needed basis.
- Participate in staff meetings, attend community events, and otherwise contribute to strengthening the deep roots within our community, both internally and externally.
- Participate in ad hoc or organizational-wide committees or work groups.
- Follow organizational policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in development, fundraising, communications, marketing, or related roles.
Required skills and abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, as well as writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills; detail oriented.
- Strong sense of customer service for dealing with donors, volunteers, and clients in phone conversations.
- Possesses a positive attitude and is reliable, flexible, and adaptable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required;
Knowledge of Salesforce or similar donor database preferred. - Ability to operate within overlapping deadlines while balancing multiple priorities.
- Ability to generate and implement new, creative ideas to communicate MANNA's mission and work.
- Proficiency with web-based design and communications applications, such as Canva, Constant Contact, Word Press or similar.
All offers of employment at MANNA are contingent upon successful results of our standard credentialing process, which includes a criminal background investigation, a drug screen, and reference checks. Nights and weekends may be required as necessary to support MANNA events and other fundraising activities.
Salary: $49,000 - $54,000, commensurate with experience
