Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary St. Francis Xavier (College) Church is seeking a compassionate and organized Social Ministry Student Worker to support the weekly operations of the State  Birth Certificate Program. Working closely with the Director of Social Ministry and Outreach Coordinator, this position assists community members seeking identification documents by providing volunteer support, managing program administration, and helping ensure the effective operation of outreach services.

This hybrid, academic-year position offers an opportunity to engage in direct community service while supporting the mission of social justice and outreach at College Church.

Job Responsibilities Support the weekly operations of the State  Birth Certificate Program. Assist volunteers with Monday program preparation when additional support is needed. Print program materials and organize resources for weekly outreach services. Transport and organize hospitality items and care kits within program storage areas. Provide coverage for weekly Google Voice appointment-setting shifts and assist with additional scheduling needs as required.

Track  birth certificate payment information using Airtable. Monitor and record returned identification documents in collaboration with the Office Manager. Review post-program surveys and assist with generating reports to support program improvement. Collaborate with the Director of Social Ministry, Outreach Coordinator, and other parish staff to address emerging program needs. Participate in outreach meetings, program evaluation, and strategic planning discussions as needed.

Perform additional duties that support the ministry and outreach efforts of St. Francis Xavier (College) Church.

Job Qualifications Current college student with an interest in social services, nonprofit work, community outreach, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. Commitment to serving diverse populations with compassion, respect, and professionalism. Proficiency with or willingness to learn Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Google Voice), Airtable, and related technology platforms.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage administrative tasks accurately. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client information. Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing approximately 15–20 pounds and navigate stairs as needed.
