We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Volunteer Coordinator to help recruit to, support, and celebrate the 100% volunteer team which fulfills our mission.
AboutThe Role
As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will be the welcoming face and guiding hand for our volunteer community. From recruitment to appreciation, you will play a vital role in ensuring our volunteers feel valued, informed, and connected to the meaningful work they do.
This is a flexible, hybrid position requiring 8–10 hours per week, with time split between the Store and working from home — perfect for someone looking to give back while maintaining a balanced schedule.
What You’ll Do- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Connect with Store Liaisons to identify volunteer needs and actively recruit the right candidates
- Clearly communicate the Store’s mission, values, and organizational structure to prospective volunteers
- Guide new volunteers through our established 5-step screening process
- Records & Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer records, including contact information and screening documentation
- Utilize Microsoft Office Tools to manage data and communications efficiently
- Engagement & Appreciation
- Nurture a positive volunteer culture by promoting Society events, celebrations, and formation
- Serve as an active member of the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner committee
- Attend once-monthly Store Team meetings to stay connected with the broader team
- A servant leader approach with dedication to serving those in need with love, respect, justice, and joy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you genuinely enjoy connecting with people
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping
