Based in Washington, D.C. with a hybrid schedule, this role sits at the operational heart of the fellowship: coordinating the logistics, communications, and participant experience that make the program run.

About the Women Leaders India FellowshipThe Women Leaders India Fellowship is a country-specific Vital Voices program dedicated to advancing women's leadership in India. It connects women leaders from across the country to structured training, peer mentorship, and the broader Vital Voices global network. The Program Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring every aspect of that experience is well-executed — from recruitment to day-of logistics to post-program follow-up.
Role& Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator provides operational and administrative backbone to the WLI Fellowship — managing details so participants, partners, and trainers can focus on the program itself.
- Plan and coordinate all WLI Fellowship activities: virtual and in-person convenings, workshops, webinars, meetings, and participant engagement touchpoints
- Manage participant outreach, application processes, selection logistics, and cohort documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, partners, trainers, and vendors; handle all communications, reminders, materials distribution, and follow-up
- Collaborate with the WLI program partner team in India and cross-functional Vital Voices teams
- At least 1 year of experience in program coordination, administration, or a closely related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine interest in gender equality, women's leadership, or international development
