Salary Level:
- US: The starting annual salary for this role will range from USD $76,800 to USD $91,200, commensurate with professional experience and internal equity.
- Other Countries: Salaries will be benchmarked against local market rates and commensurate with professional experience and internal equity.
Level 3:
Frequent contact with participants, direct contact with children, access to sensitive data, and/or high level of accountability.

The Strategic Partnerships and Philanthropy Deputy Director is responsible for supporting private fundraising and partnership development in support of Mercy Corps’ strategic priorities. The Deputy Director will support the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships;
Senior Director, Foundation Partnerships; and Directors and Deputies from CFT in advancing strategic partnerships with top donors, prospects, and influencers. The successful candidate will have relationship management experience, an understanding of Mercy Corps programming and trends in philanthropy, strong written and verbal communications, and experience in project management.
Provide business development, stewardship, and communications support to arange of CFT donors and prospects,aligned to P2P priorities.
Collaborate with program, technical and innovation teams to match key program needs with potential funders.
- Write/edit concepts, proposals, reports, pitch decks,talkingpoints,updates and stewardship materials.
- Support development and implementation of personalized cultivationand stewardship plans for key partnerships.
- Support Rebrand-related events andconvenings,Match Poolfundraising requests,benefitsandother requiredcontent,etc.
- Support knowledge management by maintaining donor and prospect records in NXT (CRM), SharePoint, etc. ensuring institutional knowledge is captured, shared and accessible across the team.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including program representatives and leadership, TEQ,AMTand other stakeholders to ensure donor engagement strategies can be effectively implemented.
- Contribute toplanning and execution of Monthly CFT meetings,and other internal meetings,including agenda development,teamengagement,and follow-up on action items.
- Act as primary PG&E liaison with support from TEQ, MCV, AMT and finance in the management of the Innovation Fund grants and provide any needed support to the merging of the Innovation Fund and the Venture Lab under the Innovation Catalyst.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of strategic priorities and relevant technical areas andkey partnershipsin order torepresentthe organization andpriorityprogramming to internal and external stakeholders.
- Effectively represent Mercy Corps in donor meetings, communications and atevents.
