REBUILD globally is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting the root causes of poverty in Haiti by providing education and job training programs that lead directly to employment. Based on years of community engagement, the organization focuses on social business as a sustainable solution to poverty. REBUILD globally established Deux Mains, a for-profit, Fair Trade brand that serves as the social enterprise arm of the organization.
Deux Mains employs Haitian artisans to produce handmade leather bags for export and durable school shoes for local children. Together, REBUILD globally and Deux Mains create economic opportunities while supporting long-term community development in Haiti.
The Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships is a full-time, hybrid role based in West Palm Beach, FL, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies, including annual campaigns, major gifts, and donor stewardship initiatives. The director will cultivate and manage relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and other stakeholders to grow philanthropic support for both REBUILD globally and its social enterprise, Deux Mains.
Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing development operations, preparing and monitoring budgets related to fundraising activities, coordinating events and campaigns, and producing reports and materials that communicate impact to supporters. The role will collaborate closely with senior leadership and program teams to align development efforts with organizational goals and to identify new strategic partnership opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, including Annual Giving and general Philanthropy.
- Knowledge of Planned Giving strategies and donor-centered relationship management.
- Experience with budgeting and financial oversight related to development activities.
- Proven ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships across sectors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in nonprofit development, social enterprise, or international development is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, with occasional travel as needed.
