Volunteer Manager

The Volunteer Manager – Partnerships and Outreach focusing on Young Adult Engagement is responsible for all Ameri Corps, Interns, youth, and young adult volunteer programming. This includes recruitment, onboarding, management, training, recognition, and retention. This position is also responsible for specific volunteer engagement outreach campaigns. The position works as a part of the People and Culture Team to grow the volunteer programs in support of overall volunteer engagement at Habitat Metro Denver.

The Volunteer Manager also works closely with Construction and ReStore departments to identify opportunities and create a positive and productive environment for volunteers.

Experience required:

  • 3-5 years experience in the field of volunteer management or equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
  • Certificate in Volunteer Administration is preferred.
  • Personal volunteer experience.
  • Experience with long-term National or International Service programs (Ameri Corps or Peace Corps), preferred.
  • Experience with presentation and meeting facilitation with small, medium, to large groups.
  • Experience with CRM / scheduling systems / database software
  • Experience with Volunteer Hub, Raiser's Edge and , a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office programs (MS Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and able to learn as needs of job and available technologies evolve.
  • A bachelor's degree could be beneficial in this role.

Work environment and conditions:

  • Most work is performed indoors at a desk in a shared office or meeting setting, with the ability to work remotely at times.
  • Ability to talk on the phone and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Hybrid work model – minimum 2 days/week at a Habitat location (Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday), with ability to work from home the other days) During the first 6-9 months of employment additional days in the office will be required to learn the role, build critical interdepartmental connections, and strengthen the development team's vision, strategy, and cohesiveness.
  • Ability to travel to and from meetings / appointments at various Habitat retail and construction site locations at times when public transportation can be challenging.
  • Ability to adequately traverse a residential construction job site (uneven grade / surfaces).
  • Some work outside of traditional office hours (evenings and weekends) will be required to attend meetings, events, etc.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy is prerequisite; driving is required. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be run for insurance purposes.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Comfortable driving a company van shuttling team members to various locations & events.
  • Habitat's office where this position will report to is 430 S Navajo St, Denver, CO 80223.

The Starting Salary Range for this position is $59,700 – $69,800, with offers typically between the minimum to midpoint of the starting pay range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity and the budgeted amount for the role.
