PJ Library inspires joyful Jewish experiences by sending free storybooks and activities to families with children ages 0-12 and offering ways to connect with community. The program was founded in 2005 by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) and, with the support of generous donors and partners, now distributes more than 650,000 books in seven languages to children in over 40 countries every month.

The PJ Library family experience is built around the monthly storybooks and also includes family-focused holiday guides and other free gifts. Anyone who visits PJ Library’s website can hear original storytelling podcasts and explore a vast collection of Jewish parenting resources. The program welcomes families across the diversity of Jewish life. Learn more or sign up for monthly children’s books  .

PJ Library in New York supports families in New York City, Westchester, and Long Island on their unique paths to connect with Jewish life and create vibrant Jewish communities. We work alongside a network of partner organizations while creating opportunities to connect with families both within and beyond Jewish institutions, meeting families where they are and helping them discover PJ Library.

More than 40,000 children across the New York metro area currently receive PJ Library books each month.

THE POSITION

The Partnerships Intern supports PJ Library New York's work by coordinating projects and events that connect more families to Jewish life across New York City, Westchester, and Long Island. This is a hybrid graduate internship running from September 2026 through May 2027, based in our Midtown Manhattan office with occasional remote work.

The position requires approximately 20 hours per week and includes some evening and weekend event support throughout the NY Metro area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support relationships with PJ Library partner organizations, including synagogues, JCCs, schools, camps, museums, and other community organizations and family-focused spaces by coordinating day-to-day communication, resources, and partnership needs.

Coordinate partnership projects, events, and family programs by assisting with planning, logistics, book distribution, mailings, materials, and execution.
