Position OverviewOlympic Housing Trust (OHT) is a community land trust creating permanently affordable home ownership for working families across Jefferson and Clallam Counties. We are seeking a Philanthropy and Grants Manager to deepen our donor relationships and secure the grant funding that powers our mission.
Two priorities sit at the heart of this role:
keeping our donors engaged and giving year after year, and writing winning grant proposals. You will work alongside the Executive Director on a small, dedicated team, where the funding you steward and secure translates directly into homes for local families.
Status: Full-time, 30-40 hours/week, non-exempt
Pay: $33-$37 per hour, depending on experience

Primary Responsibilities Donor Retention & Stewardship- Responsible for all donor retention, including building and running a strategic stewardship plan that keeps donors and members engaged, renewing, and growing their giving year-over-year.
- Ensure every gift is acknowledged promptly and personally, with thank-you's and impact updates within a week of the contribution.
- Cultivate one-on-one relationships with donors and members through various communication and in-person avenues. Identify and engage potential donors. Keep accurate records of all contact and giving histories.
- Partner with the Executive Director to grow and retain major-donor relationships.
- Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, government, and other funders.
- Manage the grants calendar, including tracking deadlines, applications, renewals, and funder requirements. Adhere to all deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Prepare timely, accurate grant reports and maintain strong relationships with funders.
- Draft donor appeals (print and email) and coordinate the annual giving campaign alongside the Executive Director.
- Help maintain donor-facing communications such as newsletters and impact stories.
- Support fundraising events as needed.

Desired Qualifications- Demonstrated success in donor retention and stewardship, showing an ability to renew and upgrade donors through consistent, personal relationship-building.
- Proven grant writing experience, including researching, writing, submitting, and reporting on grants.
- Clear, compelling writing skills to make a persuasive case for support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to forge lasting, authentic relationships with donors and stakeholders.
- Comfort with technology including a donor database/giving platform (e.g., Give Lively), Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines independently.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Nonprofit and/or affordable-housing experience.
- Donor communications, newsletter, or other professional writing experience.
- Event planning and production experience.
- Familiarity with tools like Mailchimp, Canva, or Stripe.

Benefits and ScheduleThe primary work location is in Jefferson County, Washington, with work-from-home arrangements possible. Hours can be flexible, as long as they are consistent and coordinated to align with organizational needs and other members of the team.
Status: 1.0 FTE (30-40 hrs/wk), hourly, non-exempt; reports to Executive Director
Compensation Range: $33-$37/hr, depending on experience
