Role Description The Associate Gift Planner is a full-time, hybrid role based in Minneapolis, MN, with flexibility for some work from home. This role supports donors and financial advisors by helping design and administer charitable plans, including donor-advised funds, endowments, and other giving vehicles. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to donor and advisor inquiries, preparing proposals and illustrations for charitable gifts, and ensuring accurate documentation and processing of contributions and grants.
The Associate Gift Planner collaborates with internal teams to maintain data integrity, track activity in donor systems, and support reporting and compliance efforts. The role also assists with educational materials, presentations, and outreach efforts that promote charitable planning solutions and donor engagement.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in donor or client service, relationship management, and effective communication.
- Experience with financial, philanthropic, or nonprofit environments, including basic knowledge of charitable giving vehicles.
- Strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and CRM or donor management systems, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, nonprofit management, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and serving diverse donors and communities.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing onsite presence in Minneapolis, MN, with remote work.
