Summary
:

The Gift Processing Specialist plays an essential role for the successful cultivation and stewardship of Northern Light Health donors. The main responsibilities of this role are to process gifts, maintain donor record integrity, and to support development and fundraising staff at Northern Light Health Foundation. This individual will work with staff, leadership, and donors of every member organization through the system and will need to deliver support services in a responsive, highly efficient and customer friendly manner.

They will be required to ensure compliance with IRS and gift processing standards, identifies opportunities for process improvement, and regularly audit data to ensure standards are upheld. This role works regularly with highly sensitive data and is a trusted member of the team in upholding confidentiality standards. Success in this position requires a thorough understanding of the database systems, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities
:

• Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of confidential gifts and acknowledgments in accordance with IRS standards, as well as following department protocol for necessary documentation of gifts and acknowledgements.
• Responsible for reviewing confidential donor data and information; add new constituent records to database as needed, analyze information, and populate all appropriate data fields according to data entry standards, and act as a resource to foundation staff.
• Works in coordination with the donor engagement and stewardship officer to develop and prepare inspirational gift acknowledgement letters for signature as well as annual donor statements.
• Oversees event management details in Go Fund Me  Pro and Raiser’s Edge including but not limited to creating and updating event records, importing registrations, and event invoicing.
• Attends ongoing annual fundraising events providing support such as cash control, registration, and wrap-up.
• Participates in training related to Raiser’s Edge, Go Fund Me  Pro, and other software/programming as needed to remain up to date with the latest features offered.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft products.
• Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Go Fund Me  Pro experience preferred.
• Possess a current driver’s license and must have reliable vehicle for travel throughout the State of Maine.
• Flexibility working occasional weekends, evenings, or holidays.
