Development Manager, Louisiana Bucket Brigade

The Louisiana Bucket Brigade is a 501(c)(3) environmental health and justice organization working with communities that neighbor Louisiana's oil refineries and chemical plants.

We are looking for an experienced Development Manager to join our team in advancing this important work.

Purpose of the Position

The Development Manager advances LABB's mission by increasing annual income through fundraising campaigns, donor engagement activities, and one-on-one donor cultivation. The position primarily focuses on mid-level donors who give between $1,000 and $5,000, with a long-term focus on cultivating major donors who give $5,000 or more.

Reports to: Development Director

Job Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Work Arrangement: Primarily in person, with one remote workday per week and up to three weeks of additional remote work available annually, subject to supervisor approval

Travel: Intermittent travel is required

Salary: $75,000 annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Management of Annual Fund and Appeals

Serves as the point person for planning, organizing, and executing our two major annual appeal campaigns:
Giving Tuesday (end-of-year) and GiveNOLA Day.

Engages with staff, board of directors, and volunteers on peer-to-peer campaigning for GiveNOLA Day and other peer giving opportunities.

Manages outreach, appeals, and stewardship for Monthly Marchers, LABB's monthly giving program

Provides research and analysis of giving campaigns and uses that research to recommend future targeted outreach and activities.

Mid-Level Donor Engagement

Maintains a portfolio of 600 donors for ongoing one-to-many communication and stewardship and prioritizes approximately 50 to 60 donors with the potential for increased giving through more personalized, one-on-one cultivation.

Works with the Development Director on moves management and cultivation strategies for mid-level donors with major gift potential.

Coordinates opportunities to identify and build relationships with new supporters.

Manages and executes the stewardship plan in coordination with the Development Director and Development Volunteer.

Manages development volunteers to assist with stewardship activities.

Creates and sends gift acknowledgments for mid-level donors.

Data Management

Incorporates data fromthe CRM and wealth screening database to enhance and strengthen fundraising activities and appeals.

Ensures fundraising activities and donor engagement are accurately recorded in the CRM in a timely manner.

Collaborates with the Data Manager and Development Director on CRM systems and automations that enhance the efficiency of the development department.

Supports donor database maintenance.

Prepares and presents reports on annual fund performance, metrics, and statistics.

Supervision

Supervises and supports the Development Data Coordinator to ensure a clean, efficient, and productive CRM.

Supervises the Development Volunteer in the execution of LABB's donor stewardship plan.
