Development Manager

San Francisco Bay Area | Remote | Part-Time (10-20 Hours/Week)

The Joy Culture Foundation (TJCF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Chinese-speaking families in the San Francisco Bay Area through youth leadership programs, cultural education, and community events. We believe that "it takes a village to raise a child," and we strive to be that village for families in our community.

TJCF is seeking a part-time Development Manager to work closely with our Chief Development Officer to strengthen fundraising efforts, expand donor engagement, and develop partnerships with local businesses, foundations, and community organizations.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys building relationships, working independently, and contributing to the growth of a mission-driven organization.

• Support TJCF's overall fundraising initiatives and donor engagement strategy
• Manage donor communications, stewardship activities, and follow-up
• Conduct donor outreach and help build and maintain long-term donor relationships
• Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities with local businesses, foundations, and community organizations
• Support individual giving campaigns and donor programs, including the Visionary Donor Circle
• Research grant opportunities and assist with grant applications, proposals, and reporting
• Maintain accurate donor records, fundraising data, and activity tracking
• Assist with fundraising events, community engagement activities, and donor-related events
• Identify new opportunities to increase individual giving, corporate sponsor ships, grants, and community partnerships
• Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and other team members on fundraising projects and initiatives

• Passion for community service and nonprofit work
• Experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, partnerships, sponsor ships, or nonprofit development preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
• Comfortable conducting outreach and developing relationships with individuals, businesses, and community organizations
• Strong follow-through and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience working with Asian American, immigrant, or bilingual communities is a plus
• Mandarin language skills strongly preferred;
  Cantonese or other Chinese language skills are also welcome
• Experience with donor databases, fundraising platforms, CRM systems, or similar tools is a plus

• In-Person Commitment: Occasional attendance at TJCF meetings, fundraising activities, and community events may be required
• Compensation: $30 per hour
