About the Role

Our client seeks an energetic and empathetic Community Support Officer to join their team in George . This role involves engaging with various community groups to identify needs, coordinate support services, and implement community development initiatives. You will act as a key liaison between the organization and the residents, ensuring that programs are responsive and effective. • Engage with community members to identify social needs and service gaps.
• Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of community support programs and workshops.

• Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences , Community Development, or a related field.
• Experience in community engagement, social work, or a similar support role.
• Strong understanding of community dynamics and development principles.
• Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.
• Proficiency in using standard office software and communication tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, and travel within the local area as needed.
