How can you make a difference?This assignment aims to support UNICEF’s Gender Equality Action Plan 2026–2029 by strengthening programme communications, advocacy and partnerships. The consultant will develop communication and advocacy materials, support partner engagement and resource mobilisation, and promote adolescent girls’ leadership, voices and rights across UNICEF and with external partners.

- Education:
- Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
- Work Experience:
- At least 8 years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in communication, advocacy, print, broadcast and/or new media.
- Language requirement:
- Fluency in English, written and verbal, is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language is an asset.
- Skills:
- Excellent writing skills, including experience writing on gender-related issues and knowledge products;
- Ability to work independently and with an international, multicultural and interdisciplinary team;
- Excellent computer skills in MS Windows, MS Office applications, SharePoint and Teamsite management;
- Ability to communicate sensitively to different audiences; ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Academic credentials in gender; international work experience;
- Public and private sector experience;
- Expertise in international development, humanitarian response and/or the gender equality ecosystem;
- Experience with UNICEF;
- Experience in an international agency, UN or international institution;
- Experience in developing-country contexts; knowledge of UNICEF/UN systems.
