Remote Program Officer

Voqal is currently looking for a Remote
Program Officer to join our dynamic, growing team. This position reports to the Director of Grantmaking and Fellowship Programs.

The Program Officer will advance social justice by developing, managing, and leading equity-centered grantmaking initiatives that strengthen and protect five pillars of democracy: a representative government, fundamental rights, information and communication, fair processes, and civic engagement.

Duties may include researching and recommending impactful grantmaking opportunities; creating strong, deep, and trusting relationships with grantees, potential grantees, and peer funders; and deepening the alignment and practice of equitable grantmaking both internally and externally.

Approximately half of the work will be in service to the people-led movements in Chicago. We strongly encourage applicants from the Chicagoland area or applicants who are available to travel to Chicago often, when travel is a safe option.

The salary for this position is $83K. Voqal also offers a very generous benefits package including: partially paid medical coverage for employees and dependents, partially paid dental and vision, paid LTD, STD, and AD&D.
