Position: Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Location: Kaunakakai

Position Summary

Step into an energizing ER nursing role in Kaunakakai, Hawaii, where your quick thinking and compassionate care will make a tangible difference in a close‑knit island community. As a Registered Nurse specializing in emergency care, you will triage, stabilize, and treat patients with a broad range of acute conditions, from injury and illness to time‑sensitive emergencies. This contract starts on 03/02/2026 for multiple weeks, offers guaranteed 36 hours per week, and delivers a highly competitive weekly pay of 2,181 to 2,372, reflecting your expertise and the demanding pace of the ER.

You’ll join a supportive team that values bedside skill, clinical judgment, and the empathy that keeps patients and families grounded during stressful moments.

Location & Travel Opportunities

Kaunakakai sits on Molokai, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and community connection. Work in a peaceful yet professional setting with shorter commutes, access to pristine beaches, scenic hikes, and a genuine island lifestyle that supports work‑life balance. The role also includes the opportunity to work in various locations across the United States through our travel program, exposing you to diverse patient populations and hospital systems—while keeping the same high standards of support and safety you expect.

You can experience everything from urban trauma centers to rural critical access facilities, each offering new clinical challenges and opportunities to refine your ER skills. Separately, you’ll have the chance to explore the state’s breathtaking scenery, from volcanic landscapes to lush coastlines, while enjoying the warmth of a community that values service and teamwork.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Your day in the ER will include high‑stakes patient assessment, rapid triage, airway management, wound care, medication administration, IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and coordination with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff. You’ll perform and document accurate assessments, contribute to evidence‑based protocols, and participate in code blue and high‑acuity interventions as needed.

Growth and Development

The position provides clear pathways for growth: pursue certifications like ENLS or PALS, expand into leadership support or charge nurse roles, and build a portfolio of advanced practice competencies. In addition to competitive compensation, you’ll receive a sign‑on bonus where applicable, comprehensive housing assistance, and the option for contract extensions that reflect your reliability and the facility’s ongoing needs. Our program is designed to minimize administrative burden, with 24/7 support from a dedicated travel team, real‑time assistance during assignments, credentialing guidance, and ready access to clinical educators who can help you stay sharp.

We also provide robust orientation, cross‑facility mentorship, and structured performance feedback to accelerate your professional growth.

Company Commitment

At the core, the company is committed to empowering its nurses—offering clear career paths, ongoing professional development, and a culture that prioritizes patient‑centered care and teamwork. You’ll be part of a network that values your contributions, recognizes your expertise, and supports you with steady communication, resources for licensure or re‑licensure, CE opportunities, and a unified mission to improve community health wherever you practice.

This is more than a assignment; it’s a partnership that helps you expand your clinical repertoire while maintaining work‑life harmony through dependable schedules and consistent support.
