- Participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care under the direction of the RN and/or provider supporting Pediatrics, OBGYN, Adult primary and specialty care and allergy immunotherapy.
- Provide exceptional customer service for both pediatric and adult patients by performing direct patient care including assisting and administering allergy immunotherapy injections/medications, immunizations, test and procedures, patient instruction, patient flow, administer and document injections/medications according to standards, prescription refills, preparing exam rooms, and maintenance dose allergy injections.
- Must be able to interpret diagnostic test instructions, assist with procedures, and obtain diagnostic results from clinical information system.
- Assist with patient calls as delegated by physicians or nursing staff.
- Manage high volume prescription renewals and authorizations following the established protocols.
- Proven self‑direction ability including initiative and creativity
- Exhibits high standards of personal and professional conduct as measured by interviews, references, and performance evaluations.
- Individuals must exhibit a professional and positive image when interacting with patients, faculty and staff. Must also adhere to a high standard of personal and professional conduct; possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills; and have a demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse population demonstrated by positive and successful evaluations.
- Demonstrated critical thinking to effectively and efficiently prioritize and problem solve in a fast‑paced environment as measured by interviews, references, and performance evaluations.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and seek constructive approaches to resolving conflict as measured by interviews, references, and performance evaluations.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and set priorities based on the needs in the unit, department, and institutional goals/objectives.
- Demonstrated accountability and dependability e.g., completion of work, mandatories, goal setting within established timelines.
- Excellent attendance records as evidenced by references and evaluations
- Current licensure as LPN in the State of Michigan.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
- One year experience with electronic medical records.
- One year experience within an ambulatory setting.
- Hours/Week: 40 hrs.
- Shift/Hours/Days:
Evenings and flexible schedule required, and rotating Saturdays/Sundays may be required. Orientation, training, and education may be at variable locations.
