Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Infusion Center
. This is a PRN, day shift position in Charlottesville, VA, Monday to Friday with no nights or weekends. The role will have 1 to 3 eight-to-nine-hour shifts per week as needed. Operating Hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with some variation for business needs.

The Sentara Martha Jefferson Infusion Center offers a pleasant, professional atmosphere where patients can receive intravenous infusions and therapeutic injections. Our oncology-certified nurses are trained to administer chemotherapy, biological therapies or supportive blood transfusions for cancer, as well as various infusions for non-cancer patients. OCN certified nurses in both the Infusion Center and Medical Oncology clinic. This role will focus on chemotherapy and chemotherapy certification would be preferred.

• Infusion center has 25 chairs
• 14,000 provider visits per year
• 17,000 infusion visits per year (oncology and non-oncology)

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing required
• BSN or MSN preferred

• Registered Nurse Licensure
• ONC certified RN preferred
• BLS required within 90 days of hire

• 2 years of acute nursing preferred
• Oncology Nursing experience preferred
• Cancer experience preferred
• Infusion experience preferred
• Chemo certification preferred

The Registered Nurse is responsible to perform nursing care at a competent level as demonstrated by the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion, and evaluation. The RN should possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required by specific clinical areas.
