This travel RN role places an ER nurse in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced ED with an interdisciplinary team, under a professional practice framework. The assignment emphasizes evidence‑based practice, patient‑centered care, and adherence to professional standards within a structured governance model.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct emergency nursing care to ED patients, including triage, initial assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring
  • Administer medications and perform nurse-driven procedures within scope of practice
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers to coordinate patient care
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
  • Educate patients and families; communicate patient needs and care plans with the team to support safe discharge or transfer
  • Uphold professional standards per the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics; participate in quality and safety initiatives
Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
  • Emergency Department nursing knowledge or ED experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics
  • Ability to work nights in a 3x12-hour shift pattern
  • Competence in a hospital ED setting and comfort with fast‑paced, high-acuity care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to function within an interdisciplinary patient services team
