Location: Hematology Oncology of Indiana
Pay Range: $24.83 - $46.12
Job Responsibilities- Provide safe, accurate and efficient patient care, including patient assessment, review of labs, vital signs, medication safety, dose verification, and drug administration.
- Follow all Job Breakdown Instructions (JBIs) associated with the role.
- Offer triage care as needed and communicate patient condition effectively to multidisciplinary team members.
- Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non‑oncologic agents per provider orders.
- Use Oncology Nurse’s Society (ONS) standards and guidelines.
- Responsible for accurate disposal of biohazardous waste per OSHA & NIOSH guidelines.
- Provide new and ongoing patient education, continual assessment, and support.
- Document thoroughly, accurately and timely in EMR, ensuring proper charges and patient identification per JBI.
- Teach patients and caregivers about medications, side effects, and treatment plans.
- Prioritize and respond to telephone triage calls from patients, family, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies, and physician offices.
- Assist with inventory and restocking of medical supplies, recommend new items, and place stock in storage areas.
- Complete annual safety and nursing trainings and attend mandatory staff meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
- Assist in training new employees related to job duties per JBIs.
- Work at any company location on an as‑needed basis and overtime when given sufficient notice.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned per company.
- Comply with all federal and state regulations, company policies, IT protocols, and disaster plans.
Education: Nursing degree.
Certifications/Licenses: Unencumbered RN license in state of employment, current CPR/BLS certifications, valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
Minimum Experience: Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting; ability to assess patient needs and condition; strong critical thinking skills; calm and effective response in emergency situations; fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication.

Travel: < 25% of Standard Core Workdays/Hours. Standard schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Occasional overtime and weekend shifts may be required.
