Job Description
At North Bay Health, a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides safe, effective, high‑quality nursing care to patients following Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship‑Based Care, and North Bay’s professional nursing practice model. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for all assigned patients, using a therapeutic professional relationship with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to promote, maintain, and restore health.

Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing. A BSN level or higher nursing degree is required (excludes grandfathered employees).
License and Certifications- Valid, current, and unencumbered RN license by the State of California.
- Current AHA or equivalent BLS and ACLS required.
- Telemetry certification within 3 months of employment.
- PALS or ENPC within six months of employment.
- TNCC or ATCN certification within one year of employment.
- CEN, CPEN, or TCRN preferred.
- Minimum six months acute care RN experience required.
- One year of RN experience as an emergency transport nurse is equivalent to six months of acute care experience.
- One year of ED RN experience preferred.
- Competence in providing skilled nursing care to emergent and trauma patients.
- Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
- All RNs in the Patient Care Services Department are required to wear graphite (dark gray) colored scrubs per the professional appearance policy.
- At least four (4) shifts each month, or more as determined by department's per diem availability standard.
- Shift: 8‑hour shifts.
- Hourly salary range: $85.98 – $103.68 (rate based on years of experience).
- 15% per diem differential included in salary range.
