Graduate Nurse Position at Michigan Medicine

Responsibilities 4A-1 is a Medical Surgical, 32-bed adult unit in the University Hospital. 4A-1 provides care primarily for adult medical surgical patients. 4A-1 is a fast paced, challenging and rewarding medical-surgical unit for the new graduate nurse or experienced nurses.

Required Qualifications:

Current Michigan RN license

• GN applicants will be considered for this position. The selected Graduate Nurse candidate must pass the NCLEX and obtain a Michigan RN license prior to start date.

• BSN preferred
• One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse
• Previous Medical Surgical RN exp

E. This posting is for three (3) openings. Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. Applicants who have left the UMPNC bargaining unit must include on their resume dates of past employment including months and years of service along with effort.

Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Modes of Work:
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Hours:

36 hrs/wk

Shift: Night shift; 12 hr shifts, every other weekend

Note:

All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
