Maine Health Behavioral Health (MHBH) seeks an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Integrated Team with Maine Health Pediatrics in Kennebunk, Maine
. The PMHNP will join the Pediatrics team in York County to provide psychiatric consultation and care to help shape services for a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic. Educating the care team on psychiatric approaches to behavioral health conditions is an exciting part of the role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for treating children of all ages and young adults with behavioral health disorders.
Previous PMHNP experience working with pediatrics required.
Schedule:
Part Time (benefits eligible) 20 hours per week - Potential hybrid (onsite with some remote work) options.
- Complete diagnostic evaluation and health screening.
- Prescribe medical treatment within scope of practice.
- Provide on-going medication assessment, education, and management.
- Provide therapeutic treatment in face-to-face and tele-psychiatric evaluations.
- Develop and record a plan for effective and timely treatment for patients in a community-based setting.
- Complete medical records timely per policy.
Master's degree as Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
- Two years' experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) minimum (Required)
- Valid license as a Nurse Practitioner by the Maine State Board of Nursing and qualified to do psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
- Must meet specific credentialing criteria needed if working in the hospital as defined by Medical Staff By-Laws.
- Advanced skill and knowledge in conducting psychiatric evaluations and treating psychiatric patients.
