Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP

About the Role:

Join Boardprep LLC as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Tampa, FL, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering compassionate trauma informed care. We are looking for an experienced practitioner licensed in both SC and FL to provide approximately 4 hours per week of telehealth services to patients participating in a healthcare specific treatment program.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage detox medications.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Educate patients on substance use disorder and mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulations.

• Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Active PMHNP certification and state licensure in Florida and SC.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a substance abuse treatment setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in psychiatric care and detoxification.
  
  Comfortable working with medical professionals (physicians, pharmacists, nurses) in treatment for substance use and/or psychiatric disorders.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
