This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The role involves delegating, directing, and assisting licensed and ancillary team members; ensuring quality patient outcomes; respecting cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity; and supporting the department’s strategic goals.

The nurse demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for their own practice and supports the company's philosophy of nursing.

Education

• Required
  - Registered nurse diploma.
• Preferred
  - Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.

Work Experience

• Required
  - None.

Certifications

• Required
  - Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred
  - Certification in a clinical specialty area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web applications.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills; ability to be self-directed.
• Good judgment.

Job Duties

• Use the nursing process effectively in patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively; serve as a leader in the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilize data and information to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and nursing professionalism.
• Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and communication styles.
• Perform other related duties as required.
