Overview
Full‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position in Charlottesville, VA. 40 hours per week, day shift schedule. No nights or holidays.
Responsibilities- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or licensed independent practitioner.
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with state nursing regulations and site‑specific competency standards.
- Administer medications and implement nursing interventions and care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care.
- Advocate for patients in prevention of illness or disease and serve as a patient advocate.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Teach patients and family members about conditions and self‑care techniques.
- Adhere to the legal and ethical standards of nursing practice.
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- LPN license required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Single State, Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days from hire.
- Clinical experience preferred.
