Position: REGISTERED NURSE (Brighton Health Center - Primary Care OB/GYN )

Responsibilities
  • Provide the delivery of culturally sensitive, age‑specific team‑based care models in delivering nursing care for Primary Care OB/GYN patients.
  • Perform phone triage, including assessment, screening, clinical advice, nurse visits (in person/video visit) in‑clinic hands on procedures, and other duties assigned.
  • Accurate and efficient documentation of nursing care.
  • Knowledge and appropriate use of internal and external resources.
  • Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel; collaborate with colleagues, other disciplines, and health care/community services to promote continuity of care.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills providing patient and family education and coaching related to chronic conditions including, but not limited to, diabetes, asthma, and coronary artery disease.
  • Proficiency with typing and electronic health record documentation.
  • Ability to manage complex clinical issues utilizing assessment skills, protocols, and evidence‑based interventions.
  • Willingness to adapt to different populations e.g., pediatric and adult medicine as patient demands. Orientation and training would be provided for new subspecialties within primary care based on expansion of division.
Required Qualifications
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
  • Three (3) years (out of last 7 years) of RN experience in OB/GYN Medicine or labor and delivery.
  • Experience performing non‑stress tests (NSTs) for two (2) years within the last seven (7) years.

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

  • Certification in Ambulatory Nursing
  • Ambulatory Phone Triage experience
  • Experience in adult medicine.
  • Experience in gynecologic specialties, particularly post‑operative follow‑up and care.
