Overview:
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for 3 South
- Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit. This is a Full Time, Night shift position in Williamsburg, VA.
Hours:
645PM to 715AM during week days. No Weekend Schedule!
The Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit (3 South) at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center provides specialized care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions, including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post‑coronary interventions, post‑ablation care, and myocardial infarctions. The unit also manages pre‑ and post‑catheterization patients, as well as those experiencing acute stroke.
This 24‑bed unit cares for patients with higher acuity than a typical medical‑surgical unit. 3 South provides an exciting opportunity for nurses seeking growth in a dynamic, high‑acuity environment. The Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
Education Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (required) OrMSN (Preferred)
Certification/Licensure Registered nursing License (Required)
BLS required within 90 days of hire Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hireNIH within 1 year of hire Experience
18 Months of acute care RN experience(required)
Experience in Telemetry, acute stroke, or cardiac preferred
Previous charge experience preferred
Acute Care nursing background preferred
