Director Of Clinical Education
BAYADA Home Health Care has an immediate opening for a Director of Clinical Education to launch and lead our Nurse Residency Program for Home Health. This position requires a Registered Nurse with prior experience in Clinical Education or clinical leadership. The Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for developing and managing a best-in-class nurse residency program that incorporates classroom courses, remote learning and simulation labs.
As Director of Clinical Education, you will be accountable for improvement, innovation and research that will advance the Home Health Nurse Residency Program. The Director of Clinical Education is also responsible for the collaboration, development and oversight of partnerships and clinical affiliations with external educational programs and organizations to assist with acquiring talent and increasing awareness of home health services and programs.

Qualifications include:
- Current RN license in good standing
- BSN/MSN preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience. Preferably two (2) of those years in Clinical Education or Home Health Clinical Leadership
- Demonstrated subject matter knowledge and expertise.
- Demonstrated record of strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competence in basic PC and simulation skills required.
- Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
- Ability to travel as necessary, approximately 20% travel anticipated.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
- Develop working knowledge of BAYADA's mission, services, people, organization, policies, and procedures.
- Assess standards, accreditation standards, and BAYADA policies.
- Assess and evaluate staff and client learning needs according to client needs.
- Plan, develop, and deliver on-boarding education to all new nurse residents based on BAYADA policies and procedures, and current regulatory and professional requirements.
- Coordinate with the office Clinical Managers (CMs), and Clinical Simulation Leader to execute simulation training and ongoing simulation experiences for the nurse residents to establish competencies.
- Monitor electronic and simulation equipment functionality and collaborate with technology support when needed to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Stay up to date on simulation scenarios and paperwork to provide adequate training for educator scenario review if needed.
- Organize and monitor new clinician completion of online learning modules.
- Assist as needed to facilitate clinical coach mentorship for nurse residents.
- Conducts on-going evaluation of the nurse resident on-boarding effectiveness and retention with new nurses.
- Plan and provide clinical in-service programs based on clinical outcome data related to performance improvement, such as incident reports, infection control trends, chart reviews, and survey results.
- In collaboration with preceptors will meet with nurse residents at minimum bi- weekly to assess and assure success with on-boarding progress.
- Work with the preceptors of nurse residents to achieve nurse resident professional growth and obtain competencies needed to practice as part of the Home Health interdisciplinary group.
- Identify and maintain educational resource materials. Submit recommendations to Division Director Clinical Strategy and Innovations Home Health.
- Conduct an annual review of nurse resident on-boarding material with the other Directors of Clinical Education to assure that all on-boarding material is standardized, consistent and meets all current regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Participate in the twice monthly Director of Clinical Education meetings, participates at least monthly in the CM/RM council, and is an active member of one Home Health Clinical Council.
- Collaborate with office CMs to assure that all new clinicians have their on-boarding material, tablet, Promise Point, and Med Bridge log ins. Work together with office staff to create a welcoming atmosphere for all new employees.
- Remote position with travel up to 20% as required to execute clinical education, simulation, and training and build relationships with teams and internal partners.
