Home Health Nurse Specialist - Home Care Field Staff
Children's Mercy Home Care is the only full‑service pediatric home‑health agency in the region. We provide comprehensive medical care—including infusion therapy and wound care—to children with complex medical needs.
Our Home Health Nurse Specialists provide comprehensive medical care and perform a wide range of skilled nursing services such as acute and rehabilitative care, assessment of high‑risk newborns, teaching of various systems, diabetes and asthma training, wound care, infusion therapies and central line care, and wellness/disease‑focused education. Patients range from birth to 18 years old and include conditions such as pre‑ and post‑ transplant care, multi‑congenital abnormalities, cancer care, feeding difficulties, and preterm newborns.
Home Health Nurse Specialists have autonomy, manage their own caseload, and coordinate care with the entire care team, often visiting patients in the home, school, or a relative’s house.
