Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for 3 South
- Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit. This is a Full Time, position in Williamsburg, VA.Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates!

Hours:

645PM to 715AM with rotating weekend schedule.

The Acute Cardiac/Stroke & IMCU Unit,The Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit (3 South) at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center provides specialized care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions, including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post‑coronary interventions, post‑ablation care, and myocardial infarctions. The unit also manages pre‑ and post‑catheterization patients, as well as those experiencing acute stroke.

This 24‑bed unit cares for patients with higher acuity than a typical medical‑surgical unit. 3 South provides an exciting opportunity for nurses seeking growth in a dynamic, high‑acuity environment. Registered Nurse Transition to Practice Programs at Sentara:

Unique 6-Month Program Includes:

No separate application required, automatic enrollment for any RN with less than 12 months experience or transitioning to a new practice area.

General Nursing Orientation Specialty Clinical Track Residency Professional Development Sessions Mentoring and Unit-based Preceptor Education Degree  or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing ProgramBSN or MSN preferred.

Certification/Licensure Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing LicenseBLS within 90 days of hire.

Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hireNIH within 1 year of hire

Experience

Acute care nursing experience preferred

Background in Stroke or Telemetry preferred

New Grad RNs considered
