Location:
Hawaii | Pay Range: $80,000.00 – $
Assists physician in the care and teaching of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients through interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
- Write prescriptions for medication, blood products, and therapeutic measures following laboratory results and clinical protocols.
- Determine eligibility of patients for entry into clinical trials and interpret diagnostic findings.
- Coordinate treatment plans and document patient progress, admissions, and discharge notes in a timely manner.
- Administer therapeutic measures, obtain specimens, and perform diagnostic procedures as prescribed.
- Dictate follow-up letters to referring physicians, summarizing treatment, response, and plans.
- Assist in family dynamics and coping mechanisms during acute and chronic phases of care.
- Participate in daily multi-disciplinary rounds to ensure appropriate, high-quality care.
- Provide on‑call coverage and perform hospital rounds as needed, triaging patients for physician evaluation.
- Assist staff during crisis or emergency situations.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
- Train new employees in job-related duties.
- Adhere to federal and state laws, company policies, IT procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Maintain a neat, orderly work area; ensure company equipment functions properly.
- Serve in the role at any company location, with potential overtime and remote work as appropriate.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program; master’s degree required.
- APRN or PA license in appropriate state; prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply.
- Current certification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN‑P).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 3 years experience as APRN or PA in oncology.
- Critical thinking, analysis, decision-making, planning, and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and conflict‑management ability.
- Excellent oral and written communication; balanced feedback provision.
- Customer‑service orientation and ability to build a quality culture.
- Self-management skills: time management, stress handling, professional development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Travel of less than 25% optional.
Core workdays:
Monday to Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
