Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice

Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible scheduling available)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Weekend Requirement: Occasional weekend rotation coverage may be required

Pay Rate: $55/hour

Mileage Reimbursement: $0.73 per mile

Territory: Anne Arundel County and Prince George’s County

Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and experienced Hospice Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality end-of-life care to patients throughout Anne Arundel County and Prince George’s County
. This role involves both clinical and home-based patient care, coordination with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and ongoing support for patients and their families.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in patient assessments, care planning, medication management, and hospice care delivery while maintaining a patient-centered approach focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hospice nursing care to patients in private residences, long-term care facilities, and assisted living communities.
  • Travel throughout Anne Arundel County and Prince George’s County to provide patient care.
  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of patients and families, including physical, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, and mental health needs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Deliver direct nursing care in coordination with the patient’s physician and other healthcare providers.
  • Manage medications, order necessary supplies, and monitor treatment effectiveness.
  • Supervise and provide direction to Home Health Aides (HHAs) as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with care team leadership to coordinate resources and ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care conferences.
  • Communicate patient status updates and care recommendations to physicians and team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using problem-oriented charting methods.
  • Utilize a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $55/hour
  • Mileage reimbursement at $0.73/mile

Caseload & Productivity
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 15–20 patients
  • Complete an average of 5 patient visits per day
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Previous hospice, home health, palliative care, or related nursing experience preferred
  • Strong assessment, care planning, and clinical documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
  • Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
