About the Position

Travel Nurse Source  is collaborating with AMN Healthcare to place a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Tacoma, WA (ZIP 98444). This travel assignment is 13 weeks, starting 10 August 2026, with nights (3 days per shift × 12 hours) and pay of $1,939 to $2,059 per week.

As an ER/Trauma RN, you will deliver compassionate, high‑quality care across a range of patient types including neonates, geriatrics, pediatrics, walk‑in trauma, cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory and psychiatric cases. Core responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care, including resuscitation, stabilizing, and monitoring of acutely ill patients.
• Administer medications (mix own meds), manage IV access, chest tubes, central lines and ventilator support (BiPAP) in the absence of respiratory therapists.
• Assist with procedures and phlebotomy, and chart using EPIC.
• Charge nurse duties and coordinate a smooth hand‑over at shift change.
• Float to other OCED sites as needed and support LPN coverage.
• Participate in respiratory class and telemetry competency prior to start.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of ER experience (any trauma level).
• Valid RN license (WA or RN Compact accepted).
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP; NIHSS; TNCC certifications preferred.
• Ventilator (BiPAP) class experience.
• Strong IV, central line, chest tube and medication administration skills.
• Excellent customer‑service and communication skills.
• Travel experience or willingness to travel.
• SSN and DOB required for background check.
• Recent reference (within 12 months) and skills checklist.
