Position: RN Staffing Coordinator (Part-Time Hybrid Nights) – CSO
Location: St. Charles

At BJC Health Care, delivering exceptional patient care starts with strong staffing coordination. As a Part‑Time Hybrid RN Staffing Coordinator with our Central Staffing Office, you'll support staffing operations across all 12 BJC hospitals while working alongside a highly collaborative team dedicated to ensuring the right caregivers are in the right place at the right time. This hybrid role offers a combination of onsite and remote work, providing flexibility while maintaining a direct impact on patient care throughout the BJC system.

In this role, you'll partner with house supervisors and nursing leaders to coordinate real‑time staffing needs, balance resources, and support safe, efficient operations across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses seeking a non‑bedside role that remains closely connected to patient care delivery.

Requirements
  • Active RN license
  • 1+ year of nursing experience
  • Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and team‑oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications

Role

Purpose:

The RN Staffer is delegated the authority and responsibility for administrative supervision of staffing for the Central Staffing Office. The RN Staffer will facilitate balanced resources and sharing of staff across the HSOs. Collaborates closely with the BJC Transfer Center to ensure adequate staff to meet capacity demands. Acts as a liaison with HSO nursing offices.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitates the delivery of safe and appropriate staffing across the system. Effectively responds to special circumstances and acts as the on‑site leader.
  • Assists with patient care operations and integration of services between hospitals. Provides guidance for balancing schedules and proactively staffing open shifts.
  • Assists with clinical development of CSO staff, including observing and coaching staff in performance of clinical duties and interpersonal interactions and monitoring staff and compliance in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Functions as a liaison between Administration, Transfer Center and all hospitals and customers.
  • Ensures that the productivity and actions of the group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Makes sure staffing is to volume or designated workload and budgeted guidelines.
  • BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

  • Associate's Degree – Nursing
